I am an Ecological Consultant (I get paid to walk in the woods) by trade, and a Marine Biologist by training.

I have had a passion for wine for quite a while (about 30 years) and got serious about it some 20 years ago, and have always seemed to have a knack for writing.  Here it comes together.

My interests include all manner of wine, although I have soft spots for Oregon Pinot Noir, white Rhone wines from anywhere, old-school California Cabernet and Zinfandel, and right bank Bordeaux.  I am also a fan of spirits, particularly rum agricole and highland single-malt whiskys.

I am a foodie as well, and love to cook (especially for others).  My other interests include cycling, futbol, motorsports, photography, and sailing.
